Les Misérables author Victor Hugo is one of France's best known writers, but he was also a prolific artist. Take a look inside one of the sketchbooks he made when he was living in exile on the island of Guernsey and writing his novel The Toilers of the Sea. The Royal Academy is currently showing some of Hugo's finest works on paper, which are rarely on public display and were last seen in the UK over 50 years ago.
